Na 2 maanden op de boerderij gewerkt te hebben zijn we zondag naar Sydney vertrokken om onze echte reis te beginnen. We gaan eerst naar the Blue Mountains, vervolgens de oostkust naar boven met een stop in Brisbane waar we 2 vrienden van IJsland gaan ontmoeten.
Uiteindelijk zijn Hanna en ik gepromoveerd tot trekkerrijders op de boerderij. Hanna maakte de heuvels/gleuven, en ik maakte ze plat met de roller. En tot verbazing van alle medewerkers kregen we hiervoor de beste/grootste/nieuwste trekkers van het bedrijf! En serieus, onze auto's thuis hebben niet eens zoveel luxe. De boer was erg tevreden over ons en ziet Hanna, wanneer ik terug ga in juni, dan ook graag terug! :)
We hebben inmiddels al super veel kangaroo's gezien en jawel, ook een slang! Hanna ging naar de wc en hoorde een vreemd geluid. Ze keek door het raam maar zag niks. Ze waste haar handen en pas daarna zag ze dat daar een grote bruine (meest giftige) slang in het raam zat! Net boven de wc, dus ze heeft veel mazzel gehad dat ie haar niet gepakt heeft. Nou, slang leeft natuurlijk niet meer, Alan heeft met behulp van Ronny en mij zn hoofd er netjes afgekapt met een schep! Foto's op hanna's blog: haan85.bilddagboken.se
Dus mensen, we vermaken ons best, en starten nu het echte toerist gedeelte van onze reis! Meer nieuws volgt deze keer misschien wat sneller :)!!

After 2 months working on the farm, we finally went to Sydney again to start our 'real' journey. First we go to the Blue Mountains and then the eastcoast up with a stop in Brisbane to visit 2 friends we met in Iceland.
Hanna and I eventually got both promoted to tractor drivers at the farm. Hanna made the hills and holes, I made them flat again with the roller. It amazed all our collegues that we got the best/biggest/newest tractors of the farm for this work! But seriously, our cars at home don't even have that much luxuary! The farmer was really satisfied with us so Hanna is really welcome back when I'm leaving in June! :)
In the mean time we already saw a lot of kangaroo's and yeah, also a SNAKE! Hanna went to the toilet when she heard a weird sound. She looked though the window but didn't see anything. After she washed her hands she finally saw it: A giant brown snake (most poisinous) in the window, just above the toilet! So she was really lucky he didn't bit her. Snakey is ofcourse not alive anymore cause Alan chopped it's head of with a shovel with help of Ronny and me. Pictures on Hanna's blog: haan85.bilddagboken.se
So people, we're still having a nice time, starting the real tourist part of our trip now. There is more news coming hopefully a bit more soon than now! :)

Hier is het Pasen in kerstsfeer! Brrrr koud, volgens ons ligt de paashaas bij nachte in het veld ofzo... op de loer dan.

Saelir stelpur! Gaman ad heyrast um ykkur! H&M come back to Iceland. We miss you a lot!!! We really need our mothers back. Heli hasn't still learned to light a cigarrette. We still can not hit on guys and we still have some stupid ideas when we are bit drunk. We are really jeolus of your tan because we just came from Greenland and we are mostly pink from the cold wind! It was a extremely nice trip!
